Healthy joint cartilage has high concentrations of glucosamine sulfate. Glucosamine sulfate has been shown to stimulate cartilage cell growth. Contains sulphur which has long been used as an anti arthritis remedy. As a small molecule, glucosamine sulfate gets absorbed very easily into cartilage. Has anti-inflammatory properties without the side effects of medications. Glucosamine sulfate is the active component within chondroitin sulfate therefore there is no benefit in taking them in combination.
